Tiny was a giant

I had the great pleasure and honor of meeting Tiny about 4 years ago. He was appearing here in Massachusetts, at Spooky World. I got to see him perform, and after the show, I was able to meet him and get an autographed picture of him, which by the way is right above my computer on my shelf right in front of me. I recently bought Tiny's album "Girl", and I cant stop playing it, between "Springtime In The Rockies" and "That Old Feeling", they are such great songs. There are many other albums of his I plan on getting. Luckily, CD now is the only place that I can get them. Many people I work with get a laugh out of me because I tell them I'm a Tiny Tim fan, they brush him off as some sort of joke. I get very mad and defensive with them when they do. I try to tell them that first of all, Tiny Tim was a Human being, that alone makes him special, but also he was a "real" musician with "real" talent, not just a "novelty". I'd like to see someone else last as long in Show business as Tiny did. If he were nothing but a joke, he would've faded away years ago, but he survived and only got better.

Even though he might be physically gone, he still lives on in we, the fans. I commend you on your crusade to keep his spirit, music and love alive, don't stop.

God bless you and Tiny Tim,
Bobby Smith
