Tiny Tim Tribute
I just finished adding a Tiny Tim tribute on my homepage, and I was so delighted to
see that you have made a memorial page for Mr. Tim. It's a fantastic site. Thanks
for all you've done - It really made my day. Here's my humble page, I hope it's alright
with you: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Gallery/7152/tinytim.html.
I took other pictures, but these were my favorites. We went to see him in late June
1995, when he played at the Bar-b-Que. Battle in Georgetown, Washington D.C. He
put on a wonderful show. I only wish I could have seen him again. I've been a fan of
his since I was a kid. I'm 33 now, and I have great memories of him on Laugh-In. I
think I remember him more vividly than the moon landing.
Anyway, it was a thrill to see him in 95, and I'm glad I brought my camera that day.
Immediately after the show, it started to rain. A few of us devoted fans waited for
autographs. Mr. Tim didn't disappoint us. He came out and sang "Singin in Rain",
signed autographs, and chatted for a while. My husband got the phone number for
his manager. I copied one of my photos and had his manager Gil forward it to Mr.
Tim with a postage paid return envelope. I also wrote to thank him for giving us
such a great show that day. I was so happy when it came back to me in the mail,
along with the nicest letter from Tiny. My husband was able to book Tiny to play for
our street festival here in Frederick, Maryland. We were looking forward to seeing
him again. But it was not to be. It was scheduled for the same week that he
suffered his first heart attack.
Tiny Tim brought a lot of happiness to the world; God bless him.
