I just feel lucky that I got to meet him...

Just found your site by accident and felt moved to say hello. I met Tiny once in connection with a small east coast gig, perhaps 18 to 20 years ago. Though I have been in the theatre/nightclub/concert business for almost 30 years, I can tell you that from my heart, I've never met a nicer, warmer, sweeter or more interesting person in my life than this wonderful and substantial gentleman. Really a guy of huge substance, he was. I have always regretted that I never got to spend more than a few fleeting minutes with him, what extraordinary tales he must have told. I just feel lucky that I got to meet him at all. I guess what I want to say is that in an industry of pretenders and the minimally talented, he always struck me as a genuine artist, a valid historian and genuinely gifted interpreter - not a flake or an oddity as he was so often portrayed. He was indeed one of a kind, and there aren't many that we meet in life of which that can be said. And his sweet soul is certainly reflected in Tulip's beautiful face, isn't it..... I think that the greatest sin in life is to be boring. Tiny wasn't boring, I would imagine. Wishing you all the best.

David J.
