I met Tiny Tim at the London Union Chapel.

I met Tiny Tim at the London Union Chapel gig, - his last British concert. I spent the day travelling to London, and managed to have a chat whilst Martin Sharp was doing the photographs. When I told Mr Tim I lived in Devon (UK), he immediatley recalled a concert he did in Barnstaple in the early '70's. The concert itself was terrific, he just never stopped. At one point he was on his back waving his legs in the air.

I bought 'Tip-toe...' when it was released and was then on captivated. It annoys me that when I mention Tiny Tim people always respond with 'Tip-toe' The remarkable thing is that was not a hit in the UK. It is a bit like saying you remember the Beatles only for Help!. Mr Tim's astonishing versatility never fails to amaze me. No two albums were alike.

This is a great website. I only recently went on the internet, and did not know that the Albert Hall cd had been realised. In London, Mr Tim had to be helped back to his dressing room yet he still found strength to meet the long queue of people wanting to meet him. God bless Tiny Tim.

Kindest regards,
Brian E.
