Four of us, then in our twenties, gathered to meet Tiny Tim in an apartment in Greenwich Village.

Dear Ernie:
In going through some old photos, I found two small ones of Tiny Tim that you might like to post. I'll attach them as jpegs. In the summer of 1966 my then-husband met Tiny Tim, I forget how, and invited him to a friend's home to share his music and his story. Four of us, then in our twenties, gathered to meet Tim in an apartment in Greenwich Village. He played and sang while we listened agape. I'm afraid we may have snickered at him a little, since we had never seen anything like him, but he didn't seem to mind and appeared to enjoy the attention. I remember he told us about meeting Bob Dylan backstage at a show, and he said that Bob Dylan was with a couple of young ladies. My husband asked Tim whether Bob had fixed him up with one of the young ladies and Tim replied, "Oh no, he knows my situation., Strictly a Dodgers fan!" After that evening, Tiny Tim kindly sent us some shots of himself that he took in a photo booth, with a note thanking us for "a swell nite." The date of the note is August 19, 1966.
