Met Tiny Tim on Stage After Show (photos)

Ernie,

Glad you liked the pictures. I have been a Tiny Tim fan since I was in the third grade, when my parents gave me the God Bless Tiny Tim album. They got it for me to make me feel better after having my tonsils removed. (That's me on the left of the group picture, along with Mary, Karen, Cookie and Kathy, when we were 19 years old. ) When we saw him, Mr. Tim had one of his crew members ask us to wait around after the show. We went up on the stage to speak to him. Karen and I asked him why he didn't sing "On the Old Front Porch" and he said he didn't remember the words. We helped him out with a couple of stanzas. Then he signed autographs for everyone. I was the last in line, and that is why he thanked me for my patience. When Tiny Tim died, I wrote a letter to the editor of the Daily News, which they published. I basically said that I had met Tiny Tim and he was a real gentleman and I hoped wherever he was, he was singing his signature song, Tiptoe Through the Tulips.

All the best.

Cathi V.
