Letters from Rob Pollack

I just discovered your memorial site. It is a beautiful remembrance and tribute to a beautiful soul.

One of the highlights of my life was when (approx. 1986) I happen to meet Mr. Tim at a party in New York City. I had been a devoted fan since his first TV appearance. "God Bless Tiny Tim" is my most treasured album in my record collection. I have my original copy, plus an unopened copy that I found years ago. When I saw Mr. Tim, I waited patiently to tell him how much his music had meant to me, and how important his first album had been to me over the years.

All through my life, those songs have brought a smile to my face and hope to my heart, as well as often, a tear to my eye. Mr. Tim was a special person, truly blessed. My hope is that ,one day, Reprise wakes up and releases the album on CD.

Take comfort in knowing that Mr. Tim was and is still much loved.

Rob Pollack

P.S.

I wanted to thank you for telling me about the Japanese release of "God Bless Tiny Tim". I ordered it through Amazon and finally received it yesterday. I have to tell you that when I was opening the box, "my hands were shaking and my knees were weak, I could hardly stand on my own two feet"...and when I sat down to listen to it, well, tears actually came to my eyes. There is just something about that album!

God bless you.
