His birthday was April 12, 1932. The exact time of his birth is not known. He was not born when he was supposed to be. His mother had been in hard labor for a long time and could not give birth. They finally did an emergency caesarean, which was rare in those days, before anti-biotics. Anaesthesia was also primitive compared to now. Both he and his mother nearly died, and I think Tiny sustained a brain injury. He had signs of border-line cerebral palsy. If they had waited a few more minutes, he might have spent his life in a wheelchair or a bed, or might not have survived at all.
