Can you refresh my memory on a Tiny Tim appearance on the Johnny Carson show?

Can you refresh my memory on a Tiny Tim appearance on the Johnny Carson show? I recall Tiny coming out and singing a patriotic song from a bygone era-- this was during the Vietnam War era-- a nd the audience started booing. Then he dropped into his baritone voice and gave them an "America- love it or leave it" speech. Can you give me any more info? What the song was, etc.?

Permission: Yes

Name: T Partridge

Hi,

Tiny did several patriotic songs on the Carson show during this time. He also released some 45's around this time as well. They were "America I Love You", "What Kind Of American Are You" and "Don't Bite The Hand That's Feeding You". All are available on the new Tiny Tim box set issued by Rhino Handmade. I remember people booing Tiny and his speech. I hope this information helps. Have a Happy New Year!

Best,
Ernie Clark (tinytim.org)
