Who wrote the song "Why" that Tiny recorded with Ms. Vicki?

Good morning. My uncle (Lou Robino) and his friend (Bob Pontes) were in contact with Tiny many times. Tiny liked their lyrics and had numerous conversations and actually recorded some of their songs; "If I Beleive in Tommorrow", "Banjo Pickers Wife", and "I Know God Still Loves Me". There were others they taked about prior to Tiny's untimely death. They actually received invitations to Tiny's wedding in Minneapolis. My uncle is now 90 and I'm just trying to recapture some of his songs that he has written (and continues to do) to help inspire him. Any suggestions would be appreciated as to who I can contact for additional information. The also wrote a song called "Why" that I noticed is on Tiny's 3000 limited release. I'm not sure if this is their song or not that Tiny recorded with Ms. Vicki?

Thanks for your help...

Matt C.

Hello Matt,

I'm very familiar with your uncle Lou Robino! He (and Bob Pontes) wrote many songs and sent them to Tiny over the years. I have some of the actual cassettes that Tiny's widow sent me back in 2003. Glad to hear that your uncle is doing well. Please give him my best. The song entitled "Why" which is on the new Tiny Tim boxed set was written by Bob Marcucci and Peter DeAngelis and was originally a hit by Frankie Avalon in the early 60's. I have "Banjo Picker's Wife" by Tiny. "I Believe In Tomorrow" is on Tiny's cd entitled "Girl". I also have Tiny's recording of "I Know God Still Loves Me". If you need any of these please let me know. Thank you for contacting me and have a good weekend.

Best,
Ernie Clark (tinytim.org)
