Is it Tiny Tim's voice on the Dylan's Basement Tapes recordings?

I have always been curious about what sounded like Tiny Tim's singing on a few songs of an outtakes bootleg of Dylan and the Band's sessions at Big Pink, which was released as the Basement Tapes album (though Tim's voice is not on the official release).

Was Tim at those sessions and if so, how did he come to hook up with Dylan and the Band?

Thanks.
Bill O.

Hi Bill,

That is indeed Tiny on the Basement Tapes recordings! He sang "Sonny Boy, Memphis, I Got You, Babe, and Be My Baby. Three of these recordings were released on the soundtrack of the film "You Are What You Eat" in 1968. Tiny was friends with Dylan. They originally met in Greenwich Village when both were playing the various clubs there in the early 60's. Thanks for your question!

Best,
Ernie Clark (tinytim.org)
