What was Tiny Tim's natural hair color?

I love this web site! I was wondering... What was Tiny Tim's natural hair color? Sometimes in photos, it looks dark brown/black and sometimes it looks red/orange. I'm guessing he dyed his hair red/orange for the added shock value(?). My friend thinks it was naturally red. Which one of us is correct?

By the way...When I saw the photo of him during the 50's, when he was still a teenager... Wow! My jaw dropped! What a handsome guy! And he always had such a nice smile... (Just my humble opinion).

So glad you like my website! Tiny's natural hair color was black. When it started to turn gray he would color it every two weeks. The awful red hair was meant to draw attention to himself which wasn't really necessary as he was known on sight around the world! The pictures of him from the 50's are great! Tiny always had a song and that big smile for everyone he met. He's very much missed by his fans and friends. Thank you for writing!
