EVER STOP TO CONSIDER that what big slick Johnny Carson is doing with the wedding of Tiny Tim is probably every bit as revolutionary as the dastardly motives attributed to Chicago's ragtag Conspiracy 7? How so? Well, (1) Tim, we all know, is a put-on. And (2) marriage is the establishment's way of starting "the family," still considered the cornerstone of the way we organize our society.
So, if you DO believe in conspiracies, what sneakier way to undermine the institution of marriage, than through satire? Get high tenor Rudy Vallee to sing. Doc Severinsen and the Tonight Show Carson orchestra can perform traditional wedding music. "Men, Tiny Tim, that childlike lost soul walks through 5,000 tulips into matrimony wearing a black silk velvet walking-length frock reflecting the Victorian period of dress". (We quote from an NBC press release)

FROM NEW YORK, this zingy put-on will flicker across state lines into millions of homes across the country. Telefans will gather to giggle at silly Tim and his preposterous wedding. For millionaire Carson, the ratings will be out of sight...
